The editorial workflow prefers primary texts, critical editions, established scholarly references, and reliable institutional resources. Direct quotations require a source locator and human verification before approved publication.
Pages define unfamiliar terms, distinguish argument from proof, present competing interpretations fairly, acknowledge selective coverage, and avoid reducing philosophers to slogans.
AI assistance and review
External AI may assist with source records and editorial drafts. Drafts do not become public merely because automated validation passes. Approval is performed by the Thinking Paths editorial team; no claim of expert review is made unless such review actually occurs.
Corrections, source concerns, conflicts of interest, and advertising separation are handled through a documented editorial workflow.
The weekly Paths Through the Present series is the explicit exception to permanent-page approval. It may publish automatically only after its structured schema, current-source diversity, freshness, allowed philosophers, internal links, one disclosed portfolio destination, safety, and disclosure rules all pass. If any gate fails, nothing is published for that slot. A human-review date is shown only when a person actually reviewed that article.
