Information and local storage
The core reading experience does not require an account. Theme switching is not used. Journey progress and optional reflections may be kept in browser session storage so a path can continue during the current session.
Optional reflections are not sent to a server unless a visitor deliberately includes them in a message to Ada. Thinking Paths does not publish chat transcripts or store them in a site database.
AI messages and service providers
When live Ada discussion is enabled, messages are sent to an AI service to generate a response. Visitors are warned before the first message and should not provide identifying or sensitive information.
Hosting and security providers may process technical information such as an IP address and request details to operate, protect, and diagnose the service. OpenAI processes messages deliberately sent to Ada, while Upstash may process a short-lived pseudonymous rate-limit key when live discussion is enabled.
Analytics, advertising, and children
Optional analytics and advertising are disabled by default and load only after being deliberately configured and, where appropriate, consented to. Raw search queries, chat text, reflections, and contact messages are not analytics events.
Thinking Paths is intended for a general international English-language audience and is not directed to children under 13. Privacy questions may be sent to the configured contact email.
